Overview

Welcome to our 18th year, our “Chai” year, a very special one for Jewish people. Chai is a lucky number; it means “life”, and there is a lot of that at TJFF.COM.  Eighteen years ago, who would have thought we would become the largest Jewish Film Festival, with 100 programmes, screening in four venues?

But here we are and here it is! And here YOU are—the people that made us great.

The team here at the Toronto Jewish Film Festival is at our creative best.  We are looking forward to a very exciting year of film from around the world.   This year we have added SilverCity, Richmond Hill, to serve people in Thornhill, Aurora, Newmarket, Barrie as well as Richmond Hill. Of course, our flagship venue, the Bloor Cinema, remains as well as the Al Green Theatre and the Cineplex Odeon Sheppard Centre Cinemas.

These are challenging times for all of us, but if you want to really feel part of our 18th year celebration, it is easier than ever to show your support.   Simply click on the Canada Helps button on this page and make a donation. Everyone counts towards making this a banner year.

Be sure to join us at our Chai Teas in January and February at the Sheppard Centre and in Richmond Hill.  Visit the Web site often for updates and information about our Early Bird specials and the occasional free screening.

Our box office opens in April. We will be revealing our Festival schedule at the end of March.

See you at our Festival, April 17 – 25, 2010
